Diocesan Magazine
Farewell to The Sower
It is with sadness we inform you we will no longer be continuing to produce The Sower magazine.
Over the last five years the magazine has been very well received across the Archdiocese, including the last edition (summer 2022). Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years.
We will not replace The Sower with another publication and will instead be focusing on our existing channels including the e-newsletter, website and social media to promote the latest news, events and initiatives.
The weekly e-newsletter now comes with a PDF attachment which you can print off to share with others.
Sign up to the e-newsletter
If you wish to share news, information or events please contact Caroline and Faye in the Communications Team at communications@rcaob.org.uk
We are particularly keen to share your stories and events which reflect any of the Diocesan Vision’s themes of Evangelisation, Formation, Liturgy and Worship and Social Outreach, with a focus on young people, co responsibility and care for creation. Diocesan Vision- Unfolding God’s Plan
All copies of The Sower magazine are available at https://www.birminghamdiocese.org.uk/diocesan-magazine
Archive material relating to the History of the Parish.
If anyone has any information, photographs, documents, newspaper articles or cuttings, memories etc. particularly relating to the Old Church and would be prepared to loan them for scanning we would be very grateful.
THE LOST YEARS
In compiling the “History of St. Anthony’s Parish” I find that I have NO information about the Parish or its activities between 1970 and 2005.
During this current time it may be the time to have a look if you have anything that would be of interest and could be used in the book. (Newsletters, photographs, articles etc.)
Anything that is loaned, would be returned after scanning or retained in the Churches Archive if you so desire.
If you do find anything that can be used, please place it in an envelope with your name on it and post through the Presbytery letterbox.
Please have a look, you might find something you thought you had lost.
Many Thanks.
For further details please contact Tony Clemson.

Flower Arrangements for the Church
Anyone who would be interested in helping to arrange the flowers in the Church,
please put your name on the list in the Porch or give your name to Father George.
We welcome anyone with Flower arranging skills or who just like to dapple with a few flowers at home. All skills are needed.
Thank you Liz McCarroll
